IRC: Quit-viestien ja away-viestien tunnelataus

Yllättävästi quit-viesteihin voi laittaa paljon rankempaa tekstiä kuin away-syiksi. Quit kun on kertaluontoinen ja away pysyy kauemmin.

I noticed one can put much strong loaded text into IRC quit messaged than into away reasons. Quit happens once and is then soon gone. Away sticks.

Name for a apparel focused CAD project

What would be a good name for an apparel/garment focused CAD project? Unfortunately PatternCAD, ApparelCAD and GarmentCAD are all taken. Edit: It seems ClothingCAD is not taken yet. Not the most innovative name and not even recursive but at least it is easy to understand.

Thinkpad music

Playing music on my ancient Thinkpad 600X is a rather interactive experience. As my hands move over the keyboard, occasionally they block the speakers, causing rather strange assymetry effects.

Dual Layer DVDs in a couple of years old DVD drive

So far I have had no luck playing Dual Layer DVDs on my computer. Are they supposed to work? Would a newer drive do the trick?

Correction:
Matrix Revolutions seems to be Dual Layer and it played fine, but most do not... not even when they look stratch free and fine.

Hiding binary

Lately I have been on and off thinking about hiding binary code into decorative motifs that can be used e.g. in jewellery. I think this thinking is fuelled by my ring envy - I too want a date hidden in my ring. The problem is the motif either needs to be small or very simple to allow more than couple of zeros and ones to be fitted in a design as small as a ring in a way that a human can still easily read, and I'm rather fond of vines and florals myself.

Just where can I find that archive-keyring? man apt-key doesn't tell me, nor does info apt-key or google. Closest thing I got with google was "How it (secure apt-get) works", which did help my original problem of packages not getting authenticated.
